This is a high performance intensified CCD camera system with gating times down to 3 ns. With its 12 bit dynamic range and a high resolution CCD image sensor it features an excellent signal-to-noise-ratio and the ability of single photon detection. The system is suited for applications in environments with high electromagnetic disturbances. A high speed serial fiber optic data link connects the system to the PC. The camera can be triggered by light or electrical input.

Investigation of the influence of the rail pressure on injection and combustion in a diesel engine. View through a glass window of the AVL Transparent Research Engine. The right image was recorded with a dicam pro and shows the flame of the combustion and the left image, recorded with a sensicam fast shutter, shows the injection of the fuel. Both images were obtained with the AVL VisioScope software.
