This is the first Digital Intensified CCD Imaging System that can achieve a gating time (or exposure time)
of 3 nanoseconds with a 1280 x 1024 CCD format. This coupled with its 12-bits of dynamic range has tremendous commercial significance. Given the short exposure time and light intensification capability,
researchers can now study events that are extremely short in duration and that exhibit both low light or high
light level characteristics. Since this system is intensified, you can amplify your low light levels, and with 12-bits of dynamic range you will avoid saturation from higher light levels.
Light sources such as pulsed lasers can be synchronized with this imaging system to image the dynamics of
events ranging from ballistics to hypervelocity flows, and with x-ray sources this imaging system can be
hardened for use in magnetic field environments.
This imaging system is packaged with all the necessary optical and electrical accessories in one housing,
providing a portable and easy to use tool for the researcher allowing both outdoor and remote testing capabilities.
System is ideal for imaging of fluorescence, chemiluminescence, spectroscopy, ballistics, fast-flow
analysis, bioluminescence, electrophoresis, PIV, fuel injection, low light level, wind tunnels, high resolution
microscopy, spray analysis and time-resolved spectroscopy.
